Superintendent's Message

December 1, 2017

Congratulations to Mr. Richard Hernandez and the Business Office staff for earning a perfect score of 100 on the annual Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) report. Our district has consistently received high scores, however, achieving a perfect score is rare. This reflects the dedication to excellent financial management and good stewardship as we strive to provide the maximum funding for instructional purposes.

Nov. 27 was the start of the third six-weeks.  Between now and the holiday break, our staff and students will be preparing for the January and February test schedules.  For early release on Dec. 20, our elementary students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.; middle school will let out at 1 p.m. and high school students will be released at 1:30 p.m.  Schools and administration offices will be closed for winter break starting Dec. 21. Students will return to class on Monday, Jan. 8.

Many holiday programs and activities will be scheduled this month. District updates can always be found on the district website, Facebook and Twitter.

Holiday greetings and Happy New Year wishes are sent to you on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire Harlandale ISD family.  Feliz Navidad y Próspero Año Nuevo.
