Harlandale HS hosts largest Aggie Day in S.A.

Texas A&M College Station brought Aggieland toHarlandale High School on Sept. 17 for Aggie Day inS.A.

Representatives from the university spoke to studentsand parents from across the city about admissions,financial aid and majors. Out of the 432 guests inattendance, 251 were students.

According to Laurie Castillo, director of the San AntonioRegional Prospective Student Center for Texas A&MUniversity, this is the largest turnout ever.

The closest they came to this year’s record breakingattendance was in 2014 at Alamo Heights High School.

They had 410 guests, of which 212 where students.

 “What a tremendous success,” Castillo said. “I am sopleased with this turnout.”

Additionally, students from all but three of the CenturyScholar Schools attended this year’s event. HarlandaleHigh School had the most represented with a whopping86 attendees.

This fantastic turnout earned Harlandale studentswho attended a pizza party courtesy of Texas A&MUniversity. One of these lucky students will also win a$500 scholarship.
