Harlandale ISD Families -

Harlandale ISD continues to support and follow the efforts to halt the spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, across the City of San Antonio and our community.

Given that we are all facing unforeseen challenges, Harlandale ISD has extended the period we will be providing Distance Learning through May 4. This decision was taken in a continued effort to keep our students and staff safe and to comply with the guidance from local city officials. During this period of distance learning, district and campus offices will be closed to visitors.

Closure of schools are not easy for any of us and we want you to know we are working to continue our mission to offer distance educational opportunities for all our students. We will also continue to offer curbside meals for children 18 years old and younger at our designated locations across the district. Breakfast will be distributed between 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch between 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The County’s recent Stay Home, Work Safe directive allows families to pick up food from any of the designated locations.

This week, we rose to the challenge and used our creativity and technology to connect in virtual spaces to continue the teaching and learning in our District. Thus, our teachers and instructional specialists remain committed to providing high-quality instruction through online and paper work packets.

Our commitment to you is that when decisions are made, we will share them with you as quickly as we can. We know this is a time of extreme uncertainty, and we will try to ease your concerns with factual, up-to-date information.
