Harlandale ISD names new assistant athletic director  

Coach Forestier

SAN ANTONIO – July 22, 2019 – The  Harlandale Independent School  District Board of Trustees named Eric Forestier as the new assistant athletic during the district’s school board meeting on July 15.

Forestier has more than 25 years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate   levels with an overall record of 217-109 as head coach. He has successfully led various sports   teams at Antonian College Preparatory, Trinity University, Highlands High school, Laredo   Junior College and Fox Tech High School.

Most recently, Forestier has served as the Harlandale High School head coach for the last 13   years. He has guided the Harlandale Indians to the playoffs the last seven years in a row. This last season, he celebrated his 200th win and led the program to two district titles and one bi-   district championship for the first time in 28 years.

Forestier is excited to contribute to all student athletes in the Harlandale community and work   alongside all the coaches in the district.

“I am truly honored and humbled to have been chosen for the position,” Forestier said. “I would   like to make the same effort as a coach to collaborate with students, teachers, coaches,   administration and the community to improve the success and integrity of the athletic department.”

Coach Forestier is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and played college baseball at the University of Texas-Pan American.

His first official day was July 22.
