Superintendent's Message

March 7, 2019

Spring Break week is here, and we are now in the fifth six-weeks of the school year. We extend our appreciation to all of the visitors who came to our Celebrate Texas Public Schools Open House events. We had a great turnout, which reflects the commitment and involvement our families have invested in our students’ education.

We will host the District Family Night at Harlandale High School from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on March 27. Our Cultural Arts Festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 13. All the festivities will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Descendants Ceremony at Mission San Jose. Parade participants will line up at the Mission and arrive at the Harlandale Memorial Stadium. School groups, alumni, businesses, organizations and community members are invited to attend and be part of the action.

Entry forms are due for food booths, game booths and vendors by March 27. Food and game booth drawings will be held on March 28 at 4:30 p.m. in the Administration Building Board Room.  The last day to submit an entry to be in the parade is April 3 at 4:30 p.m.

The Good Friday holiday will be observed on April 19, and the Battle of Flowers holiday will be on April 26.
