Carroll Bell Elementary School hosted an exciting Career Day on Feb. 27.

Local career professionals filled the classrooms to educate and expose the young students to the many career paths available for them.

Carroll Bell Elementary Counselor Kimberly Salinas organizes the big event every year to get students excited about their future.

“By hosting Career Day, we are helping our students understand themselves and how they fit into the world of work and what role it will play into their future,” Salinas said. “Career Days also shows our students the importance of learning.”

Guests included SeaWorld, San Antonio Aquarium, BNSF Railroad, San Antonio Humane Society, a female detective, SAC Mortuary Science, an attorney, a real estate agent, a food truck owner, an esthetician, a probation officer, a barber, an electrician and a speech pathologist.

To join the fun, the students also dressed up as their future career and had the opportunity to ask the speakers questions about the different careers.

The speakers concluded their presentations by encouraging all the students to continue their education and chase their dreams.
