“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss.

Schulze Elementary School transformed into “Seussville” to host a fun and interactive Dr. Seuss-themed Literacy Night on Sept. 27.

Administrators and teachers dressed up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character and welcomed students and their families to celebrate the joys of reading.

Teachers created fun and interactive activities based on some of Dr. Seuss most popular books including “The Cat in the Hat,” “There’s a Wocket in the Pocket,” “Fox in Socks,” and “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”

Families also enjoyed special book readings, memory games and participated in trivia games using the app “Kahoot!”

“Tonight is all about celebrating literacy with parents and families,” Schulze Elementary Principal Victoria Treviño said. “Our goal is to encourage all our students to read and to show them just how fun reading can be.”

Way to go, Schulze Elementary!
