Gillette Elementary students who met their Accelerated Reading goal were rewarded with a technology incentive.
Harlandale ISD Instructional Tech Facilitators Marguerite Lowak and Sara Dunn did a fantastic job teaching the students about Augmented Reality Books and maneuvering robots with iPads.
Students were able to experience Google expeditions and use Toontastic on iPads. More than 160 students attended this wonderful experience.
Gillette Elementary teacher Dahlia Cardenas was amazed by the technology students were exposed to and can't wait to bring it into her classroom.
According to Gillette Elementary Academic Dean Julia Gimbel, this event was a win, win for the campus.
“Students are reading more and are having fun with technology that will benefit them,” Gimbel said.
