Harlandale High School senior Trisdon Fuentes signed his letter of intent to continue his education and play football at Texas Lutheran University (TLU) on Feb. 13.

During the signing, Trisdon expressed his gratitude toward his coaches, administrators, teammates and family for their unconditional support throughout the years.

“It’s exciting, I feel blessed,” he said. “I have a plethora of emotions today, I just want to thank my coaches and family because they helped shape me into the man I am today.”

HHS Principal Alfred Anthony, HHS Head Football Coach Albert Torres and HHS Coach Anson Cornwell took the opportunity to congratulate Trisdon and shared how proud they are of him.

“I’m happy for him, I think he’s going to do really well playing football at the next level at TLU,” Coach Torres said. “He’s got great work ethic and technique, and he’s a good competitor. Those are the things that make him a valuable player.”

Besides playing football, Trisdon hopes to major in sports broadcasting and kinesiology and maybe even come back to coach at Harlandale HS.

Congratulations and good luck, Trisdon!
