King Antonio visit C Heights

King Antonio XCVII Roger C. Hill III and his guard of Texas Cavaliers stopped by Columbia Heights and Rayburn Elementary Schools Wednesday afternoon to honor our 2019 Fiesta River Parade Art Contest winners!

Columbia Heights Elementary fifth-grader Genesis Verdines and fourth-grader Julie Villarreal were recognized for City Council District 5, while Rayburn Elementary fourth-grader Isabella Martinez and fifth-grader Joanna Betancourt were honored for City Council District 3.

The students were selected from thousands of entries citywide. King Antonio also presented the students and their art teachers, Noe Garza and Lisa De Leon, a certificate to celebrate their achievement and a $3,000 check to support their school’s art program.

In addition, Genesis  and Isabella also received a scholarship to attend a one-week summer art camp at the Southwest School of Art.

King Antonio also congratulated each school’s Students of the Year and Teachers of the Year!

Thank you, King Antonio, and Viva Fiesta!
