Students and parents enjoyed a night full of science, technology, engineering and mathematics at Stonewall Flanders Elementary on Nov. 16.

The night featured a total of 24 stations that ranged from making musical instruments to making bug catchers. LaserQuest and the Geekbus were also on hand to offer demonstrations.

Parents engaged in the Cardboard Challenge and had fun participating in other activities with the students.

“STEM Night is important because it gives the parents an opportunity to come in to the school and to not only visit with the teachers, but to see what the students are doing in the classroom,” said Stonewall Flanders Principal Cynthia Perez. “We got to see them really happy and really excited and it’s important to make that connection from home to school.”

Once students visited at least three stations they earned popcorn and paletas.
