Congratulations, Harlandale ISD graduates…Your bright future begins!

More than 700 seniors from Harlandale and McCollum High Schools are ready for their next great adventure.

The Classes of 2019, full of promise and energy, walked across the graduation stage at the Freeman Coliseum on June 11 and 12.

The excitement filled the air as students, families and educators celebrated the culmination of four years of countless reports, exams, art projects, school dances, science fairs, tournaments and performances.

Board President Ricardo Moreno delivered heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates and wished them the best of luck in their future endeavors.

“Your dedication, perseverance and hard work are what ultimately got you here. Above all, you have demonstrated that you have earned the right to be proud of your achievements,” Moreno said. “High school graduation is a milestone in your lives. A milestone that many have been a small part of and can say they are proud of your success. You met this challenge. Now, I challenge you to move forward and continue in this life journey with the memory of where you once were at Harlandale ISD.”

At the end of the ceremonies, an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and hope for the future filled every seat in the auditorium as the graduates proudly tossed their hats in the air.

Harlandale ISD Superintendent Rey Madrigal also always welcomes the opportunity to give his well wishes to all the seniors as they reach their academic goals.

"Every year, I am very excited to see and be part of this ceremony with all of our students. We see them grow with us and look forward to their continued success," Madrigal said.

Congratulations, Indians and Cowboys! You did it!
