Harlandale ISD to host National Night Out

Harlandale ISD is set to host this year’s National Night Out (NNO) at Memorial Stadium on Oct. 1 from 6 – 8 p.m.

Celebrated across the nation, NNO aims to strengthen relationships in the community and promote police-community partnerships in our neighborhoods.

The event, which is free and open to the Harlandale community, will feature local vendors and organizations, a talented line-up of student performances, Zumba sessions, free food, games and raffle prizes.

The HISD Police Department will also be on hand to meet parents and students and share important safety information.

“We as Harlandale ISD police officers that are sworn to ‘protect and serve’ our district and community are unknown. National Night Out allows us to strengthen our relationship with the community,” Harlandale ISD Police Chief Michael Ramirez said. “We are a safer place when we communicate and trust each other. As we always say, ‘See Something, Hear Something, Say Something.”’
