With 20 years dedicated to education, she possesses a deep understanding of the needs of students, teachers and administrators.
Ms. Montemayor's career began in the classroom, where she served as a bilingual teacher. Her dedication to her students' well-being is evident in her impressive list of accomplishments, which includes recognitions like the prestigious Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching. She spearheaded several initiatives that boosted academic achievement, fostered a positive school climate and built strong relationships with families and the community. Her experience also encompasses curriculum development, professional development, and budget management – all crucial aspects of leading a successful school.
Ms. Montemayor is a passionate advocate for growth, both for herself and for those around her. Her commitment to continuous improvement aligns perfectly with Harlandale ISD's Mission and Vision.
