Harlandale ISD is excited to announce its 2025 Spring Break STEM Opportunities, offering students engaging, hands-on experiences in STEM, art, and media. Hosted by the district’s STEM Department and Makerspace at the Jewel Wietzel Center, this year’s lineup features a variety of camps designed to spark creativity, critical thinking, and innovation.
Registration is open now and spots are limited! Parents must complete a separate registration form for each opportunity their child wishes to attend.

2025 Camps:
Girls, Inc. Spring Break Camp (1st - 8th grade girls) - This is a Monday - Friday camp and it will be held at the Girls, Inc headquarters. Bus will depart from JWC Makerspace at 8 AM and return at 3 PM.
Minecraft Airport Challenge Camp (K - 8th grade) - This is a Monday - Friday camp at the JWC Makerspace. It will take place from 8 AM - 12 noon.
K2 STEM Camp (Kinder - 2nd grade) - This is a two-day camp (Monday, March 10/Tuesday, March 11) from 8 AM - 12 noon at the JWC Makerspace.
3rd-5th Grade STEM Camp (3rd - 5th grade) - This is a two-day camp (Wednesday, March 12/Thursday, March 13) from 8 AM - 12 noon.
K - 12 Newbery Film Workshop Camp (K - 12th grade) - This is a workshop designed for all students (K-12) to create a submission for the Newbery Film Festival. This camp runs from 3-6 PM Monday, March 10 - Thursday, March 13th.
Art Workshop - This all-ages event will take place on Thursday, March 13th from 6 PM - 8 PM. The art created in this hands-on workshop will be used to decorate the JWC Makerspace.
Shoutcasting Workshop - This all-ages event will take place on Thursday, March 13th from 6 - 8 PM and will focus on livestreaming E-Sports content.
Secondary Drone Workshop (6th - 12th grade) - This all-day workshop for 6th - 12th grade will take place on Friday, March 14th from 8 AM - 3 PM.
