Collier wants to congratulate Mrs. Trejo for being chosen by Firstmark Credit Union as one of their Education Grant winners for 2023. Mrs. Trejo is one of the school's Media Club sponsors and she applied for the grant so that she is able to purchase more equipment to be used by the students who are part of the Media Club.
The Media Club is for 3rd-5th graders. The students record weekly morning announcements that are played on Monday mornings in the classrooms to share the upcoming news and events happening at school for that week. The students have also been in charge of taking photos of campus events which will be included in the school's year book. Mrs. Trejo hopes to purchase more wireless microphones and a new camera for the club members to use during school events. This is Mrs. Trejo's 2nd year being awarded this grant!
