In honor of Law Day, our 4th grade students were treated to special guests visiting Stonewall from the 37th District Court (Judge Garza, Officer Deputy Perez, and Court Recorder Velma). Judge Garza read “Legal Beagle, The Case of the Stolen Collar”, which is an educational and fun story that shares facts about the courtroom, a trial, and all those involved. Afterwards she answered questions and shared information on the legal system. Students were even treated to a snack and got to wear an official judges robe before heading back to class. It was a fun and informative time. Thank you to our 37th District Court representatives who took time out of their busy schedules to come visit our students, and to the San Antonio Bar Foundation (SABF) for helping to set this up!
