Today, Ms. L. Garcia’s class focused on developing their ability to follow instructions by engaging in a hands-on activity: making ‘dirt cups’ using a visual recipe. The students enjoyed the process, especially crushing the Oreos to create the ‘dirt’ layer.

Hoy, la clase de la Ms. L. García se enfocó en desarrollar su habilidad para seguir instrucciones mediante una actividad práctica: hacer ‘vasitos de tierra’ usando una receta visual. Los estudiantes disfrutaron mucho el proceso, especialmente al triturar las Oreos para crear la capa de ‘tierra’.
On day two of Red Ribbon Week, we demonstrated our commitment to staying drug-free by wearing superhero attire. Excellent participation, everyone! Don’t forget, tomorrow’s theme is to show your spirit by wearing your favorite team shirt, jersey, or hat!

In Mrs. Alonzo’s 4th grade class, students are engaging with history through the lens of archaeology. They explored the history and significance of pinch pots, learning how these early pottery techniques reflect ancient cultures. The students enjoyed the hands-on experience of creating their own pinch pots, deepening their understanding of this process.

Congratulations to Evelyn for being one of two students from Gilbert Elementary selected to join Superintendent Mr. Soto’s inaugural Student Advisory Committee. This committee offers 5th-grade students a unique opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences from their campus directly with Mr. Soto and their peers from their campuses.
