San Antonio Metro Health will be hosting several vaccine clinics in the coming days, including one in our Harlandale Middle School cafeteria this Friday, Oct. 6 from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

7th Grade Biomedical Engineering
Mr. Gonzales' class learn why human body limb amputations may be necessary or may occur and connect factors considered by engineers and medical doctors when designing prostheses.
7th Grade Aerospace Engineering
Mr. Gonzales' student learn airplane parts to create two different model paper airplanes. Students measured their flight distances using meter sticks and a stopwatch to time how long their planes stayed in the air. They gathered data by performing three test. flights with each design. Students concluded the week of Engineering Design and testing by utilizing a Virtual Reality Flight Simulator.

Metro Health is working with community agencies to host COVID-19 “pop-up” vaccine clinics using health and equity data to coordinate events.
-Clients Receiving Vaccines are required to provide photo identification and a health insurance card if having health insurance. Vaccines are at no-cost.

San Antonio Neighbors Together is an annual event held on the first Tuesday of October each year. The event focuses on strengthening relationships between local police and the communities they serve. At these events, neighborhoods connect with City departments, and learn tips on crime prevention.
