Today our Apache Book Club had their Campus Book Battle Royale competition. 7 teams battled for the top 3 spots. Those top 3 teams will be representing Leal at the Harlandale ISD Book Battle Royale competition on March 1st! Great job to all of our teams! They worked SO hard, but huge shout out goes out to the following three teams:
1st Place- Team GTV- 6th Grade
2nd Place- Team Book Slayers- 7th Grade
3rd Place-Team Tejanos-6th Grade
As part of DreamWeek 2024 at Capital Factory inside Boeing Center at Tech Port San Antonio, the Leal Middle School Drone team demonstrated their drone flying and coding skills to an audience of approximately 200 guests. The Leal Middle School Drone program is part of the Dee Howard Foundation Education Initiative. DHF provides aerospace education access to students across South Texas. The LMS drone team was interviewed by the Port San Antonio communication department as a part of their focus on promoting aerospace education. The LMS drone team enjoyed meeting other aerospace and STEM students from schools across the San Antonio area.
