Harlandale ISD is committed to providing students with opportunities that inspire innovation and open doors to future careers! Recently, 20 female students from Terrell Wells_HISD Middle School participated in the IDRA San Antonio STEM Youth Summit at St. Philip’s College, an event designed to spark a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
Through hands-on workshops, technology demonstrations, and interactions with STEM professionals, our students explored new ideas, built critical thinking skills, and discovered the vast possibilities within STEM fields. With the support of our dedicated educators, Mr. Anguiano and Mrs. Morenz, they had a chance to network, learn, and grow in an environment that champions diversity in STEM.
At Harlandale ISD, we take pride in ensuring our students have access to enriching experiences that prepare them for the future. We are proud of these young innovators and can’t wait to see where their STEM journey takes them next!

What better way to celebrate the joy of reading than by sharing it with others? To wrap up our Read Across America Week, students from Harlandale High School visited Gilbert Elementary and spent time reading to the younger students and inspiring them to develop a lifelong love for books.
It was a heartwarming sight to see our older students giving back, showing that reading isn’t just about words on a page—it’s about connecting, learning, and growing together.
Let’s keep the spirit of reading alive! Pick up a book, explore new worlds, and let your imagination roam free!
