The 2025 Cultural Arts Fair Cover Design Contest is now open! "Mosaic of Cultures | Mosaico de Culturas" is this year's theme courtesy of 1st grade student Bradley Gonzales.
From construction paper mosaics to painted tiles or even photography, encourage your child to take part in the contest and their artwork could be featured on this year's Cultural Arts program!

Another great CTE Career Expo!
This week, every 8th grader in Harlandale ISD visited our Makerspace center, where they got hands-on experience with the help of our incredible CTE students and staff. The expo was a one-stop shop for exploring the amazing programs we offer in our CTE Center, including Robotics, Cosmetology, Cybersecurity, Video Game Design, Culinary Science, and so much more!

Join us in congratulating Schulze Elementary Counselor Roxane Lopez for being awarded the 2024 Texas School Counseling Association CREST Award for the second year in a row!

This past Wednesday, January 8, Our Harlandale High School Girls Basketball team recently experienced the game of a lifetime as they took part in a Spurs Game Day Takeover by the Spurs Way Organization.
The special game brought the excitement of a professional basketball game right to their home gym, complete with appearances by the Spurs Coyote and music from DJ Quake. Players were celebrated with special introductions, spirited halftime activities and fan support.
This unforgettable evening not only highlighted the talent of our student-athletes but also showcased the Spurs' commitment to empowering young female athletes in our community.

As we continue to monitor weather conditions in collaboration with local weather agencies, emergency management officials, and area school districts, we want to keep you updated on the latest information.
Forecasts indicate that temperatures will be cold tomorrow, but there are no expected freezing conditions or other weather hazards due to precipitation. As a result, Harlandale ISD plans to remain open on Friday, Jan. 10.
We encourage students to dress in layers for added warmth, and we will continue to monitor weather conditions closely. Attendance matters, so please make every effort to bring your children to school! Thank you for staying connected and informed!

Happy 2025! We are excited to welcome our students back from Winter Break tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 8 for a great second semester!
We are closely monitoring weather conditions this week and want to keep you informed. As of now, school is scheduled to begin as planned tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 8.
We anticipate cold, but dry weather through Wednesday, Jan. 8 with temperatures as low as 30 degrees. The timeframe we are closely monitoring is Wednesday night into early Thursday due to potential precipitation. We will continue to monitor the forecast closely and provide updates as soon as possible if conditions change.
If it is necessary to close schools on Thursday, Jan. 9, we will make every effort to communicate this by the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 8. However, since weather conditions can change quickly, a decision made on Thursday morning will be finalized by 5:15 a.m., and the notification process will begin immediately after. Families will be notified via text, call, email, social media, and on our website, www.harlandale.net.
Thank you for your patience and for staying connected. Please know we will always prioritize the safety of our Harlandale ISD staff and students when making any decision.
