Our Harlandale ISD students recently received the unique opportunity to attend the 2025 San Antonio Challenge at the UTSA Convocation Center. They even received a surprise visit by Keldon Johnson from the San Antonio Spurs!
Hosted by UTSA Athletics in partnership with Harvey Najim, this event supported UTSA student-athletes and local literacy initiatives, including Harlandale ISD’s 6th Grade Reading Challenge.
Everyone was able to enjoy an afternoon of exciting basketball as the UTSA women’s team faced Texas A&M San Antonio and the men’s team took on UIW, all while helping promote literacy and learning across our community.

Nuestros estudiantes de Harlandale ISD tuvieron recientemente la oportunidad única de asistir al San Antonio Challenge 2025 en el Centro de Convocatorias de UTSA. Hasta recibieron una visita sorpresa de Keldon Johnson de los San Antonio Spurs!

Recently, both our McCollum Cowboys and Harlandale Indians Volleyball teams faced each other and it was a match to remember! Both teams brought incredible energy and determination to the court and gave it their all, showcasing true teamwork, heart and Harlandale ISD pride from start to finish.

This amazing achievement has earned them a spot at the upcoming UIL Area H 5A Marching Band Contest, which will be on Saturday, November 1, at D.W. Rutledge Stadium in Judson ISD.

Today was one of our largest Food Pantries in a long while!
Join us in thanking the San Antonio Food Bank as well as our Harlandale ISD volunteers for making today's Mobile Food Pantry possible! We also want to give a shoutout to our FrankTejeda_HISD students for helping us out.
Together, we were able to distribute 28,000 pounds of food and served 383 families! We could not have done this without you!

In honor of Veterans Day, Harlandale ISD will be honoring local and district veterans during our football game on Friday, October 31 at Harlandale Memorial Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 6:15 PM on the home side track.
If you or a loved one is a veteran and would like to take part in this ceremony, please complete the form at https://form.jotform.com/252933952380159 by Wednesday, October 29, at 3:00 PM.

The Harlandale ISD Police Department is once again spreading holiday cheer through its annual Toy Drive to benefit Harlandale ISD students in grades K–12. From now through December 8, we invite our community to donate new, unwrapped toys to help brighten the holidays for children across the district.

Recently, Adams Elementary held their anual Bike Rodeo hosted by the San Antonio Police Department!
Students learned about bike safety, helmet use and staying aware of their surroundings—all while having a great time gaining confidence on their bikes. Even the school mascot made an appearance and went around saying hi to everyone!
It was wonderful to see their excitement and growth in action!

Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre seguridad en bicicleta, uso del casco y cómo estar atentos a su alrededor, todo mientras se divertían mucho ganando confianza en sus bicicletas. ¡Incluso la mascota de la escuela se presentò y se la pasò saludando a todos!
¡Fuè maravilloso ver su entusiasmo y crecimiento en acción!
